Counselling
NCN members are bound together by a core belief in the benefits of psychodynamic counselling. Centres may also offer other types of therapy to meet the needs of clients in their locality (individual centres' websites provide details of services available). All of these services provide support to people experiencing a wide range of personal difficulties.
Training
Some of the counselling centres also offer training programmes for those looking to pursue a career as a counsellor.
These range from short introductory courses for people looking to dip their toe into learning about counselling skills and theory, through to Diploma courses to become a qualified counsellor. Postgraduate courses are also available to further counsellors' training and development.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Some centres offer CPD workshops and courses for trainee and qualified counsellors to further their knowledge and skills.
These range from half-day workshops to short courses spanning over several weeks or months.
